Health and Wellness
Studies consistently highlight the strong connection between proper nutrition, physical health, and cognitive development. At Rise N Shine Preschools, we prioritize educating children about healthy dietary choices, stressing the benefits of a diverse range of foods. We recognize that physical activity and play are fundamental to a child’s holistic well-being. Educators frequently note that children display improved concentration following periods of exercise. Active children possess enhanced capacity for learning. Furthermore, ensuring children receive age-appropriate vaccinations is a critical aspect of their health management. Protecting children’s health is paramount, and immunizations play a dual role: they safeguard individual children from preventable diseases and contribute to the collective health of the community.
Meals and Snacks
Rise N Shine Preschools integrates wholesome meals and snacks into its tuition structure. Children enrolled in full-day programs receive breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. Those in half-day programs are provided with either a snack (or breakfast) and lunch, or an afternoon snack. Our meal plans are designed to align with USDA CACFP standards, focusing on protein, fiber, and minimizing fat, salt, and sugar content. We are committed to utilizing fresh ingredients and limiting processed foods, opting for in-house preparation whenever feasible or partnering with trusted catering services.
Outdoor Plays
At Rise N Shine Preschools, we place a high value on daily outdoor playtime as a cornerstone of healthy childhood development. We recognize the crucial role of fresh air and sunlight in promoting growth. Engaging in outdoor activities yields a multitude of advantages, encompassing nature exploration, physical skill development, and the stimulation of creativity and self-assurance. Children build muscle strength, refine coordination, and enhance motor abilities, laying a foundation for future involvement in sports and physical pursuits.
Furthermore, outdoor play contributes significantly to cognitive and social-emotional maturation. Children learn through hands-on exploration, cultivating problem-solving abilities. Collaborative play with peers nurtures social skills and communication.
Immunizations
To enroll at Rise N Shine Preschools, we require evidence of up-to-date, age-appropriate immunizations. We ask that you promptly submit written records of any subsequent immunizations your child receives. We will inform you if we have not received updated documentation, and as mandated by licensing requirements, you will have 15 days to supply written proof of immunization. Non-compliance with this documentation request will necessitate your child’s exclusion from the program. If your child’s immunization status is incomplete due to medical or religious exemptions, you must provide either a signed affidavit from a licensed healthcare professional outlining the medical contraindication, or a signed parental statement detailing the religious objection to immunization.
